TOO SKINNY?
I'm going to start off by saying I am no means an expert in any way nor do I perceive myself to be one. I just feel like I experience this on a day to day basis and want to share/express my opinion on the subject. Also I don't want to offend anyone in any way :)
I'm one of those girls who is seen as being "lucky" to have such a high metabolism and being able to eat anything on this planet and not being able to put on any weight or not very much anyway. Where I can see peoples wishes and desires for this to happen to them, you must understand that it is pretty horrible. I have seen a few posts/videos addressing this subject and I agree with the majority. It's so frustrating not being able to put on any weight and not being able to get clothes to fit you properly or having to buy childrens clothing because you are too small. By no means am I dangerously under weight nor do I suffer from any form of eating disorder but I do have other health issues that contribute to my weight.
It's just as offensive as calling someone "too skinny" as to call them "too fat"
Calling someone "too skinny" however seems to get thrown about on a daily basis and deemed as not being offensive as well as saying "you need to eat more, have a burger" etc etc. It's crazy how bad it is and I myself get it on a daily/weekly basis. People really need to realise that some people may have underlying problems i.e eating disorders, illness etc and don't actually realise what damage they can be doing to others by not thinking before they speak. Always take time to think incase you are going to say something hurtful or uncalled for.
Being over weight is similar as you can also have many different health reasons or life problems regarding your weight which you should never ever be discriminated for. Love your body and be happy in your own skin.
Basically all I really wanted to say was if you are in the same boat as myself and many others then don't stand for it! You are all beautiful no matter what shape or size you are and love yourself and learn to accept yourself. You can only be you and if someone doesn't like that it'll usually be because they have yet to accept themselves and are jealous of your happiness and confidence in the way you look. Compliment at least one person a day and you'll be sure to start loving yourself with the compliments you receive back. But never be nasty to someone in order to make yourself feel better, because it'll only make you feel worse in the long run :)
Hope this helps someone at least :)
